Hair, flow it, show it…

It’s great to see a model with some hair these days. Brett S. from Major Models has great crazy hair. Sometimes you just need to let it be what it is. The fact that he’s got such an amazing look makes working with him that much easier. It would’ve been easy to style the hell out of it but I just wanted to let it be true to the moment. Not your typical shots of course but if you don’t change it up a little, well then where are you?

Light is just right…

Ok so anyone who knows me knows that I don’t give up control easily and one of  the joys of studio photography is that I get to indulge myself with control of lighting.

The other thing is that I also get to play with natural light and recognize that moment when light kisses a model perfectly.

Here are some images of  Sasha R. from . For the record you know I cheat and combined all forms of lighting in some of Sasha’s images.

I’ll let you figure out which ones! ;) Enjoy!

A Real Stoner…

Ok so just having fun with his name. Chris Stoner from Major Models was just great to work with.  He had such a great energy and was willing to jump around and look foolish if we thought it could make a great shot!

Free Photoshoot Contest…

Think you have what it takes to be a real model?

Want to win a free photoshoot? It’s easy.

Go to my facebook fan page and “like” it and share this on your wall.  Post a picture of yourself and a reason why you should get a free photoshoot. Make it good, make me laugh, make me cry but for god’s sake DON’T make it boring!

Or if you see me out before the end of the world takes us don’t be afraid to come say hi and tell me in person why you want a free photoshoot.

I won’t guarantee that you’ll get the next Dolce & Gabbana campaign BUT your pictures will be personally seen by model agents and fashion designers. So come on give it a shot!

Obviously you have to be in New York cause travel is not included. :D

Sometimes they Smile…

Sometimes models are so busy giving good face that you don’t always get to showcase their wonderful personalities.

Oh and yes Jenny this post does have you in mind! :)

30 Day Photo (Day 6) Trading Places…

Day 06 – A picture of a person you’d love to trade places with for a day

First of all I did say that my 30 day challenge will take me longer than 30 days right? :D

Anyway so I’m thinking about this particular challenge and trying to decide who I would want to trade places with and the obvious answers (for obvious reasons) flit through my mind – Chris Evans, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Hemsworth, etc.

The truth is though I wouldn’t want to trade places with anyone else for a day. I am trying to live and experience as much as possible being me! What fun would it be if I were someone else?? I like who I am and seeing where I can chart my life. For the record, I’ve brought myself to some amazing places and had truly memorable moments just being me. So I might not be some billionaire chiseled actor but I’m having way too much fun living my life. It’s a fantastic ride!!!

Besides, I don’t have enough time in any given day to accomplish as much as I want to begin with! I definitely don’t want to lose a whole day!! So the best I can do for today’s challenge is post a photo of the type of body I’m working for at the gym. I may not get it but at least I’ll always be fully and truly me.

Adam…

Here’s some shots of Adam’s first photoshoot. He’s unsigned (but I can see him easily getting picked up).  A nice guy model who was a joy to work with. I can’t wait to see what he does and where he goes!

More pictures after the break!

30 Day Photo (Day 5)…

Day 05 – A picture of your favorite memory

So, a favorite memory is actually pretty hard to shoot since you’re usually experiencing the moment! :D

Still here are a few pictures I took one morning in Miami / Ft. Lauderdale. This is a place that I stay at semi-regularly and always enjoy myself. The beach early in the morning is quiet and so relaxing.  I have never had a bad experience here yet. I’ve always been able to let go and relax. It could be that’s what vacation is all about though right? No one to bother you (well hardly anyway!), no schedules to keep, no deadlines to meet. You can even spend a lot less time texting and using the phone (or try anyway)!

Just a little sunlight, a few drinks, good food and pure relaxation. Ahhhh….maybe I need to book a flight again soon!

30 Day Photo (Day 4)…

Day 04 – A picture of your night

So I went to the car show at the Jacob Javitts center  – wasn’t too impressed really. I was hoping for more concepts of the future but instead got a huge showroom!

After leaving the show and walking around the city I made a friend at the aquarium. He wanted me to take him home with me but he didn’t pass my credit check!

Dinner of course. It was supposed to be a greek salad but was kind of a mix between greek and Caesar.  Still it tasted good. Yummy for the tummy!

Finally ending the night with some editing.  I’m sooo productive (or trying!)

30 Day Photo (Day 3)…

Day 03 – A picture of the cast from your favorite show

So since this is a photo blog challenge and I’m a photographer I feel the need to use as many of my own pictures as possible. Luckily this gives me the chance to make this more creative for me then! Obviously I haven’t shot the cast of my favorite show BUT that doesn’t mean I can’t take pictures of some of my favorite shows right from the television. LOL!!

And yes, I do watch Smallville & Supernatural and I’m not afraid to admit it! Ok, well maybe a little but hey it is what it is! So here are my 2 pics.
